Whitetail Deer Research, LLC is run by the father-son team of Henry E. Heffner and Henry Heffner, Jr.
Henry E. Heffner, Ph.D., is the leading authority on mammalian hearing, having tested over 30 species ranging from mice to elephants, including cats, dogs, horses, cattle, and whitetail deer. He is currently Professor of Psychology at the University of Toledo.
Henry Heffner, Jr. is a professional hunter and has been a hunting-fishing consultant since 1999. He has hunted across the United States and Canada and in his professional capacity has organized and led hunting and/or fishing trips to Canada, Central America, South America, and South Africa. He lives in Kansas where he raises Black Angus cattle and guides hunts deer, turkey, and water fowl.
